1991: PhoneWatch breaks new ground
-       In 1991 PhoneWatch first entered the Irish security market. The company was a joint venture between the U.S. telecommunications company Nynex and Telecom Eireann (now eircom).

-       Our call centre in Sandyford, Co Dublin – manned by a team of skilled security advisors – means that we can efficiently provide a personal quote to customers over the phone.

PhoneWatch opens up alarm monitoring to homes all over Ireland
-       Before our entry into the market, ‘monitored security’ was considered an expensive option, generally only used by commercial properties or the very wealthy: only a small percentage of homes in Ireland had an alarm monitoring service.
-       Today we provide a cost-effective 24 hour alarm monitoring service to over 80,000 homes all over the country.
  
1993: PhoneWatch becomes subsidiary of eircom
-       In 1993 Nynex sold its half of the company to Telecom Eireann as part of a strategic realignment of their business.  Today we are a wholly owned subsidiary of eircom. 
 
1993: PhoneWatch introduces wired security
-       We developed wired security suitable for large domestic and commercial properties – offering a number of features to include multiple zone panels, keypads and personal user codes.
    
1994: PhoneWatch launches Medi-System
-       We introduced Medi-System, a special security system for the elderly or those living alone.
-       Our innovative solution includes a lightweight neck pendant and provides instant communication to our Monitoring Control Centre at the touch of a button.        
   
2000: PhoneWatch dealer network appointed
-       Dealer network appointed in prime locations all over Ireland to cope with growing demand for home security – and carry out system installation and service visits.
  
2001: PhoneWatch publishes burglary statistics
-       First burglary report launched featuring detailed facts and figures on burglaries in last year.
-       Now in its 8th year, the burglary report is regarded as the definitive report of its type in the country - and continues to generate extensive national TV, press and radio coverage. Read the latest report.

2004: PhoneWatch rewards customer loyalty

2006: PhoneWatch licensed by PSA (Private Security Authority)
-       We were licensed by the Private Security Authority -  the statutory body with responsibility for licensing and regulating the private security industry in Ireland - which was established following the Private Security Services Act 2004.
