How does the Outdoor Security Camera work?

Our Outdoor Security Camera has a motion sensor and an effective analysis tool that can see the difference between people, cars, and animals. When the camera is activated by motion, you are notified in real-time. Whether you are away or at home, you can see what is happening in the app and find out if there are uninvited guests or suspicious activities.

Is the Outdoor Security Camera connection wireless?

No- the camera is plugged into a socket, usually an indoor socket.

Can I share videos recorded from the camera?

Yes, clips can be downloaded and shared from the app.

How long are video clips stored in the cloud for me to access?

You can access video clips for 30 days and then they are deleted. So please ensure to download any required footage as soon as possible.

Is the Outdoor Security Camera compliant with GDPR regulations?

At PhoneWatch we take your privacy seriously. We ensure our cameras are professionally installed in line with GDPR compliance. Our Security Advisor will fully assess your home and if compliant, they’ll install your required security cameras.

Will the streaming from the camera affect my alarm?

No, the camera is not programmed into your alarm panel so it will not cause any interference with the system.

What other functions does the Outdoor Security Camera have?

It can store up to 3,000 video clips per month. Customers can decide what the camera should respond to when they set the rules in the app. For example, you can set recordings to occur on the terrace from 11pm to 7am.
