Is the alarm system wireless?

Yes, the only device that is not wireless is the security gateway, which is equipped with a backup battery in case of a power outage. All other devices in the alarm system are wireless and we can provide remote technical support. This means that we can help you adjust and make changes without us having to come to your home.

How does the portable voice unit work?

The portable voice unit automatically connects you directly to our Alarm Receiving Centre when the alarm is triggered and when you remove it from the wall. The device acts as a panic and emergency alarm and allows our alarm receiving centre to always contact your home to verify emergencies and assist you and your family.

Does the alarm need to be activated to use the portable voice unit?

No, the device is designed for easy use. You only need to remove it from the wall, no buttons or codes are required.

How do I activate my Smart Alarm System?

If you want to fully activate your alarm for the entire house, this can be done via the keypad, by pressing the full arm mode button (full colour house) for two seconds. A beep will sound and the button will light up. Enter your alarm code to arm the alarm. If you want to partially arm the alarm press the button with half of the house shaded and half white and repeat the same as above. Alternatively, you can activate your alarm by swiping your keytag on the keypad or use the PhoneWatch alarm app.

Can I use my alarm if I have pets?

Yes, you can use your alarm if you have pets. Your alarm system will be installed to cater for pets under 18kg and ready for use straight away.

If you don't have a Smart Plug installed

Open the **PhoneWatch** app, go to the section **Smart** **Plugs** and tap **Add** **device** button.

Select **Indoor** Smart Plug.

Plug the Smart Plug in the wall socket. The green LED should now blink once per second. If it doesn´t, press the button on the Smart Plug until the red LED starts to blink rapidly. Release the button when the green LED blinks once per second.

In the App, press **Next** and wait for the Smart Plug to compete the pairing.

Give your Smart Plug a name

(you can change it later).

You can now switch the Smart Plug on and off via the app, as well as via the button.

If you have Smart Plugs installed

Move the smart plug closer to your alarm system’s gateway (within 2–3 meters).

Plug the Smart Plug in the wall socket. The green LED should now blink once per second. If it doesn´t, press the button on the Smart Plug until the red LED starts to blink rapidly. Release the button when the green LED blinks once per second.

In the app, go to Smart Plugs, tap Add device, and follow the instructions.

If your smart plug has stopped working, you can reset it.

In the PhoneWatch app, go to smartplugs, click on the smartplug that is not working, and tap remove to disconnect it.

While the smart plug is plugged to a wall socket, follow the steps below.

Press and hold the power button until it flashes red.

Keep holding until it starts blinking green.

In the app, go to Smart Plugs, then tap Add device, and follow the instructions to connect the smart plug to your system.

How to set up a smart plug automation

You can set up to 24 automations per system. Scheduled smart plug events are displayed in your history, like standard smart plug events. Please note your alarm must be disarmed or partially armed to set up smart plug automation.

Open or download/update the PhoneWatch app and click on the "Automations" icon on the home screen

Click on "add automation". Select the time and days you want the automation to run. Select the control alarm system button

Choose whether you want your alarm partial armed or disarmed

Step 4

Click “next” and give your new automation a name.

Edit or delete an automation

Click automations

Select the relevant automation and press edit and change any details, such as the time, days, the automation type, and name or else press delete.
